I write about magical black girls and things that aren’t so realistic. My first official release, Deeper Than Rap, is out now.

Deeper Than Rap

“With a number one record and a little fanbase of my own, I was on top of the world… and then I wasn’t.”

Fresh out of high school and ready to focus on her true passion, teen rapper Monroe Westbrook is eager to step out of her famous siblings’ shadows and prove that she’s a star in her own right. Her lyrics are dope, her name is hot, and she’ll do whatever it takes to ride that wave.

All she needs now is the support of Tailyn, the big sister who doesn’t think Monroe is ready for the gritty details of fame. Tailyn’s longtime rival sees Monroe’s boundless potential, though, and is ready to capitalize on it, forcing Monroe to face the biggest decision of her young life. When she makes her choice, tensions are high, but the smoke does clear, and Monroe can focus on staying on top of the charts and fanning the flames of her kindling romance.

That is, of course, until the first body drops…

Blood & Water

Desonjia Scott is like every other teenaged girl… well, almost.

She spends too much time on her phone, puts off doing her homework until the last minute, and practices magic whenever she can get away with it, much to the dismay of the faculty at Cicely’s School for the Gifted.

Stellar grades and problem child status aside, there’s one thing that sets her apart from her peers: she’s one of only a handful of people who can kill Eternals—people with souls so wicked that they jump into another body instead of joining the ancestors after death.

The last thing Desonjia wants to do is carry the burden her foremothers placed on her shoulders, but Soul Searchers only have one way out of their responsibilities, and she doesn’t plan on dying any time soon, especially not at the hands of an Eternal.

Desonjia Scott is like every other teenaged girl… if every other teenaged girl was born to kill.

Deeper Than Rap 2

Magic happens in the studio. Murder happens right outside.

A year after coming out on top of a deadly rap beef, Tailyn “Fantasy” Westbrook is putting all of her energy into remaining a global hip-hop sensation and keeping her hands clean. Her only concerns are making good music and raising the little sister she struggles to see as an adult. No more drama. No more feuds. No more murder.

The world knows her as a beast on the microphone, but the streets of Miami know her as a different type of monster. One that she wants to stay far away from despite it living just beneath the thin veil that is her on-stage persona.

Tailyn almost lost her siblings to hood drama once, and she’s determined not to let it happen again.

But it’s hard not to answer when the streets keep calling…

Coming soon.

Bonus Content

Eventually, this site will be full of lore, world building blocks, original music, and all types of extra goodies meant to create an immersive experience. For now, though, meet the characters I love most. Consider starting with Civil from Deeper Than Rap.

At the moment, bonus content also includes chapters from works unrelated to my main projects (Deeper Than Rap and Blood & Water). I won’t post full books, but I’ll add a chapter or two from every project. Feel free to check out the shorts and sneak peeks sections of my blog.

Some of the bonus content will be exclusive to readers who have joined my mailing list, so be sure to sign up and receive the password(s) to view hidden posts. Depending on how the mailing lists grows, I may also run raffles for free books (and more) through it.

Happy reading!
